Job Description


The ServiceNOW Developer will be responsible for application development, design, architecture, configuration, implementation, and administration. This position will require knowledge and experience to follow standard methodologies for the platform, as well as strong skills to develop robust and scalable ServiceNOW solutions for the organization. Reporting to the Director of Integrations and Applications, this key role will partner closely with the ServiceNOW development team to implement solutions for new features, capabilities, and integrations with ServiceNOW to address key system requirements defined by the organization.


  • Collaborate with internal ServiceNOW team, internal and external stakeholders to build, design and implement new modules and/or functionalities, focused on automation and integration capabilities that leverage business services with out of the box capabilities
  • Review ServiceNOW architecture, portal, service catalog, and workflows and provide recommendations for enhancements and or improvements.
  • Lead development effort with custom portal pages, service catalog, modules, API, and software integrations.
  • Facilitate code reviews, support business processes, and participate in problem analysis and consultation with ServiceNOW development team
  • Lead team members in configuring and maintaining the platform, and optimizing it for performance
  • Participate in administration of ServiceNOW upgrades and required updates
  • Maintain technical expertise relevant industry standards and best practices in ServiceNOW


  • 5+ years of consistent accomplishments with ServiceNOW implementations including, but not limited to Incident, Request, Change, Problem, Knowledge, SLAs, CMDB & Asset Management, Service Catalog, Reporting, and HRSD.
  • Scripting or programming in ServiceNOW platform environments including JavaScript, Angular, HTML/CSS and XML
  • Relational and non-relational database management systems, SQL coding and Object Relational Mapping tools such as Entity Framework.
  • Significant hands-on experience in development, configuration, and administration of Service Now solutions in an object-oriented, Agile / Scrum environment.
  • Administration of a ServiceNOW instance that includes user management, groups and roles, ACLs, business rules, workflows, UI actions, UI policies, dictionary, and catalog items   
  • Accomplished with integrating ServiceNOW and other systems using APIs or other integration methods
  • Strong preference for an individual who has background in or certification in ITSM (ITIL), processes that may include Incident Management, Change Management,
  • Problem, Asset Management, CMDB Management, Service Catalog, Cloud
  • Management, and Problem Management modules
  • Cloud technology and service environments. (Preferred)
  • Knowledge of ServiceNOW best practices and latest features
  • Knowledge of database design, concepts, and entity relationships
  • Strong technical and time management skills
  • Experience working in an Agile environment

  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a dynamic and high-pressure environment
  • Ability to work as team member or as a single individual contributor
  • Aptitude for logical and analytical thinking, with strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

  • Self-starter/motivator having a proactive, agile, and strategic mindset



  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related technical discipline
  • ServiceNOW Administrator and or Developer Certification (Required)
