Senior Financial Analyst
Job Description
I. POSITION SUMMARY
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Financial Analyst to join the accounting team and play a key role in general and administrative ("G&A") financial planning and analysis. Key responsibilities include monthly accruals and analysis of G&A spend, working with Restaurant Support Center (RSC) department leaders to develop the annual budget and forecast updates, and ad hoc projects and other tasks as assigned. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical capabilities, a deep understanding of financial and accounting principles, and the ability to provide valuable insights to support strategic decision-making.
II. ESSENTIAL DUTIES
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop, refine, and execute the company’s G&A planning strategies, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives
· Conduct in-depth analysis of G&A costs, identifying trends, patterns, and areas for optimization or cost reduction
· Leverage Oracle planning software to prepare detailed financial models and forecasts to support executive decision-making and long-term financial planning
· Generate accurate and insightful executive reports and presentations on G&A expenditures, providing actionable recommendations to improve operational efficiency and financial performance
· Gain a thorough understanding of Bloomin’ Brands financial systems, organization, and processes to assist in implementing and updating for business changes
· Assist in the preparation of quarterly and ad hoc schedules for corporate finance, investor relations, tax, and SEC reporting teams
· Prepare monthly accruals for corporate general and administrative expenses utilizing the general ledger, subsystems, and collaboration with department leaders
· Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, providing financial expertise and support as needed
III. REQUIREMENTS
Education:
· Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
· Master’s degree or professional certification (CFA, CPA) preferred
Experience/Skills:
· 4+ years of financial analysis, public accounting and/or financial reporting or corporate accounting experience with a general understanding of GAAP
· Proficiency in financial modeling, data analysis, and forecasting techniques
· Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a meticulous attention to detail
· Must be innovative, independent and responsive to changing business needs
· Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to adapt to different audiences
· Commitment to continuous process improvement
· Strong interpersonal skills, with ability to work and influence teams
· Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with the flexibility to handle multiple projects and deadlines
· High ethical standards and commitments to maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial and payroll information
· Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, ERP systems (SAP Preferred) and Business Analytics Software (Oracle preferred)
