Job Description

As a member of the BBI Research and Development team, the Recipe Coordinator will be responsible for providing a wide variety of moderately complex administrative services, including but not limited to: recipe writing, field recipe coordinating, data collection, intake of project briefs, and report writing tasks specific to the Research and Development team. This role will also be responsible for minimal culinary support such as prepping and documenting the recipes alongside the Chefs in the kitchen.

 

This role will work onsite in the Tampa Restaurant Support Center (no remote option).

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • Responsible for recipe documenting for the various International and domestic brands supported by the BBl R&D department.
  • Organization of database of recipes and ingredients for past, current, and future food products.
  • Communicate product information to cross-functional teams including Procurement, Marketing, Research, Nutrition, Costing, Training, and Culinary.
  • Manage the Master Product List and Approved Product List
  • Prepare documents and track results for all Nutrition projects that pertain to core or new menu items.
  • Provide kitchen bench support and prep when necessary.
  • Other duties as assigned.


REQUIREMENTS

Experience/Skills:

  • College degree or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in foodservice industry preferred but not required
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Microsoft Publisher, PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Knowledge and passion for the hospitality industry.
  • Must be able to work across many projects at one time and can work with many diverse working styles and backgrounds.
  • Experience using a project management software/system.
  • Possess an exceptional work ethic, detail-oriented, and competitive in a self-directed environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to quickly build rapport.
  • Demonstrate a positive attitude and be energetic.
  • Values individualization of associates and leverages their unique talents to benefit the operation and organization.
  • Demonstrate a proactive and flexible workstyle with a strong attention to detail and accuracy in output of recipes.
  • Able to work with minimal supervision and manage multiple assignments/tasks simultaneously.
  • Capable of embracing change and adapting to changing circumstances.
  • Proven team player.
  • Strong desire to learn and constantly improve within the organization.
