Job Description

This role will work with a cross-functional team including operations, finance, supply chain, and development to develop and implement ideas that improve processes and systems that result in improved financial margins. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical and operations background with an inquisitive mindset and be able to prioritize multiple projects while working collaboratively with other functions.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • Support development of a long-term strategic plan to grow margins while simplifying restaurant operations
  • Analyze restaurant P&L and performance KPI’s to identify potential areas of opportunity to expand margins and improve productivity
  • Present recommendations to executive leadership to gain alignment on key decisions for productivity projects including requests for capital, operational process changes, introduction of new technology, etc.
  • Participate in cross-functional teams to develop, assess risks/challenges, secure operations feedback, analyze financial implications, test, and implement best practices that drive quantifiable improvements in profit margin.
  • Work closely with Operations Excellence Team to manage implementation and resource requirement plans, identify corporate and field resources required to implement the plan, and develop programs to monitor/measure expected benefits from productivity related initiatives
  • Participate in relevant industry conferences and peer groups to remain current on future innovation and technology that could support restaurant margin expansion
  • Manage project timeline, milestones, budget, and ensure leadership alignment
  • Create materials and presentations for executive/field level audience as needed

REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be familiar with restaurant labor models, speed of service, products, technology and other areas necessary to grow sales and margins
  • Convey a sense of urgency to achieve outcomes and exceed expectations; persist despite obstacles and setbacks; achieve set goals and deadlines; work as a partner to the Concept to promote efficiency
  • High attention to detail with strong organizational and time management skills, and the ability to balance multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong communication skills - written and verbal - Ability to boil down large amounts of data and feedback into easy to digest summaries
  • Independent, self-motivated, and adaptable. Deadline oriented with a strong sense of urgency
  • Ability to analyze, solve problems, and draw conclusions based on complex data sets
  • Continuous improvement mindset that focuses on improving processes and outcomes
  • Collaborative with an emphasis on cross-functional team building skills
  • Highly organized with a strong attention to detail

Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or related skill
  • 3 - 5 years of relevant experience including P&L analysis
  • Restaurant / Retail experience
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with ability to work across teams and levels
  • Analytical and inquisitive
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Preferred - PowerBI exposure and/or skills
