Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Product Owner to join our Corporate Applications team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of integrations across various systems and applications. This role requires a deep understanding of integration technologies, exceptional project management skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. Additionally, the Product Owner will ensure operational excellence by reviewing and facilitating the resolution of production issues.

 

Key Responsibilities 

Product Strategy: 

  • Collaborate with the IT leadership to define and execute the product strategy while ensuring alignment with business objectives

Product Backlog Management:

  • Create, prioritize, and maintain the team’s product backlogs, ensuring that the Development and QA team are working on the most valuable features
  • Prioritize and groom project tasks to ensure efficient delivery
  • Ensure timely and successful delivery, and communicate releases to stakeholders  
  • Oversee sprint activities and retrospectives
  • Provide weekly updates to the Project Management Office (PMO) and actively participate in SCRUM meetings

Requirements Management and Process Improvement:

  • Lead requirements gathering sessions with stakeholders at all levels
  • Mentor Business Analysts, ensuring adherence to requirements standards and best practices
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of integration projects

Team Representation and Communication:

  • Represent the integrations team on multiple cross-functional projects, both internally and externally.
  • Collaborate closely with other teams and provide timely updates to stakeholders regarding critical issues, project status, and changes
  • Ensure seamless collaboration and communication to successfully complete all development projects

Production Support and Process Flow:

  • Track, investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve production support incidents and requests


Desired Experience

  •  Product Ownership: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Product Owner or in a similar role, with a focus on system integrations
  • Integration Technologies: Strong understanding of integration technologies such as APIs and web services. Experience with ETL tools is a plus
  • Database Proficiency: Proficiency in relational databases and data warehousing, with strong skills in SQL Server queries
  • Decision-Making: Ability to take ownership of critical decisions, leading to resolution on behalf of both Business and IT
  • Development Lifecycles: Experience with various system development lifecycles, including waterfall, RUP, and Agile methods.
  • Industry Experience: Experience in the restaurant or hospitality industry is a plus.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in CS, IS Systems or related technical field required (5 additional years of comparable work experience beyond the required years of experience may be substituted)
