Manager, Training - New Restaurant Openings
Job Description
The Manager, Training - New Restaurant Openings (NRO) is responsible for the coordination of effective training systems for New Restaurant Openings, Remodels and Relocations. The incumbent will develop and continuously improve training programs as well as coordinate cross functionally to ensure that all milestones are achieved on time. They will lead a team of certified NRO coordinators and trainers to ensure proper planning, communication and execution of training programs to ensure successful restaurant openings.
This role is based in the Tampa Restaurant Support Center, so candidates should be local to the Tampa Bay area. Up to 75% travel is required.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Clearly defines the opening process and timelines and communicates to all stakeholders through weekly check-ins focused on reaching milestones and solving any issues that arise.
Develops flexible training programs designed to fit team members’ work environment while maintaining high standards.
Manages project timelines, milestones, and budget, and ensures leadership alignment.
Works with Regional Training Partner to align appropriate resources to each new location.
Facilitates cross functional check-in calls with various stakeholders to ensure that all milestones are achieved on schedule.
Partner cross functionally to ensure opening preparedness, such as liaising with Supply Chain to ensure that products and small wares are adequately provided and working with Finance to develop pre-opening budgets.
Improves operational performance by embodying a growth mindset and constantly looking for ways to improve the opening training process.
Facilitates retrospectives and systematically gathers feedback after each opening or relocation to ensure continual process improvement.
Collaborates with team members to create the best solutions and provides check-ins along the way to ensure alignment and buy-in.
Builds and fosters positive relationships both in the field and Restaurant Support Center to build trust and create a collaborative environment.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
3-5 years of new restaurant opening experience required.
General Manager/Managing Partner experience preferred.
Bachelors Degree preferred
