Manager, Product Marketing and Strategic Initiatives
The Manager, Product Marketing and Strategic Initiatives role develops and fosters execution of strategies and tactics designed to drive traffic, revenue and growth through the development and deployment of food and beverage items for all menu channels and promotions as well as strategic initiatives that drive overall brand growth. Leads strategic revenue generating initiatives in partnership with Outback President and the CMO.
*Leads all menu (core, specials, and off-premises) processes and partners with cross-functional teams to prepare for menu deployments.
*Manages product testing pipeline in partnership with ops excellence team.
*Leads high-value projects that will make a transformational impact to strategic initiatives, such as licensing and catering. These revenue focused initiatives have multi-million-dollar impact to the business.
*Manages special strategic initiatives with cross-functional teams to pursue growth opportunities or cost savings opportunities to present to senior leadership.
*Collaboration with CMO and President of Outback on cross functional and cross concept strategic initiatives
*Partners with Insights and R&D leads in ideation and development of food item pipeline.
*Tracks and researches food and beverage trends in the industry and among competitors to identify product marketing opportunities/challenges/gaps
*Build strategies and fact-based business cases, facilitate planning sessions and drive change activities for food, beverage and cross-functional strategic initiatives.
*Develop initiatives for advancing food and beverage revenue ideas and channels.
*Stay informed on general industry news & trends and help translate into actionable ideas.
*Create regular processes to escalate potential risk issues so leadership can remove impediments for all strategic initiatives.
*Prepare materials for internal and external presentations on products, business plans and management communications.
*Supports Insights Lead in development of CLT, menu TURF, and concept screening.
*Partner with Finance, Operations, and R&D to identify implications of each marketing initiative and make recommendations for success.
*Analyze menu/project results to provide insights and business solutions to leadership team.
*Manage new food and beverage revenue opportunities such as licensing and/or partnerships.
*Support strategic brand initiatives to ensure successful achievement of the business plan.
*Focus on outcomes, benefits and achievements while balancing execution and influencing key stakeholders.
*Bachelor's degree in Marketing or Business preferred
The Manager, Product Marketing and Strategic Initiatives must be thoughtful and collaborative with proven experience driving innovation and change.
*Minimum of 5 years of product marketing (or similar) experience in a fast-paced consumer-oriented environment with demonstrated success of building strong relationships across functions.
*Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
*Ability to effectively interact and collaborate with Senior Leadership and cross-functional teams
