Manager of FP&A - Fleming's Prime Steakhouse
Job Description
The Manager of Financial Planning & Analysis for Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse is a key role that supports all facets of the Fleming’s business. This individual will be responsible for orchestrating the brand level plan as well as subsequent financial forecasts and outlooks. Key responsibilities include forecasting and analysis of sales across multiple channels, analyzing key operational and business trends, and collaborating with senior levels of the organization to ensure the business performance and activities are appropriately reflected in the planning process.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
* Develops and analyzes the annual plan and ongoing financial forecasts
* Collaborate with key players in the brand to determine appropriate brand level targets
* Analyzes results to understand trends that deviate from current forecasts, identifies operational risks & opportunities to current forecasts, and then develops and evaluates resolutions
* Manages the development of the strategic long-range plan, which includes various sensitivity analyses of the business for strategic and planning purposes
* Interfaces frequently with senior leaders in meetings and presentations
* Updates, maintains, and strengthens financial models for forecasting and budgeting
* Monitor month-end accounting processes to understand variances between actual and expected outcomes; communicate drivers of variance to leadership
* Provides analytical support and creative problem-solving skills to assess operational strategies, opportunities, and tactics
* Embrace BBI’s culture by actively supporting our restaurants; partner effectively with field leadership, and teach/re-enforce business acumen and financial discipline
* Liaise with brand leads to gather information and provide reporting to senior leaders to facilitate informed financial decisions and achieve financial targets.
* Participates in ad hoc projects and analysis as needed
REQUIREMENTS
Education:
* Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics, required (MBA preferred)
Experience/Skills:
* 5-7 years of accounting and financial analysis experience, required
* Experience as a people manager, preferred
* Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced, changing environment
* Ability to communicate and influence across multiple functions and leadership levels
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, written and verbal
* Ability to build relationships while holding people accountable
* Experience in a restaurant or retail environment, preferred
* Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills, required
