JOB DESCRIPTION
As Manager of Financial Planning & Analysis, this individual will conduct operational and financial analysis for the international operations, including company-owned and franchised operations, as well non-core domestic operations. This individual would also serve as a liaison between the Restaurant Support Center and the Brazil Finance teams. This role assists senior leadership in managing short and long-term financial and strategic objectives for the organization, as well as supports
both external and board level reporting. Key responsibilities include updating the financial models and inputs to inform forecasting and budgeting, analyzing key operational and business trends, and collaborating with senior levels of the organization to ensure the business performance and activities are appropriately reflected in the planning process. This role would also have the support of a senior financial analyst.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Develops and analyzes the annual plan, ongoing financial forecasts and annual long range planning exercise for International operations and domestic non-core entities
- Manages internal reporting as it relates to the forecast and budget
- Analyzes actual results to understand trends that deviate from current forecasts, identifies operational risks to current forecasts, and then develops and evaluates resolutions
- Liaises with business leads to gather information and provide reporting to senior leaders to facilitate informed financial decisions
- Partners with and supports restaurant operations with analytics and reporting used to influence decisions, drive sales and enhance profits
- Interfaces frequently with senior leaders on trends and financial data
- Creates and implements standard financial analysis and modeling tools
- Participates in ad hoc projects and analysis as business needs arise
REQUIREMENTS
Experience/Skills:
- 5-7 years of accounting and financial analysis experience, required
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced, changing environment
- A team player with ability to communicate and influence across multiple functions, leadership levels and styles
- Flexibility to work outside normal working hours if needed given international business support
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, written and verbal
- Experience in a restaurant or retail environment, preferred
- Experience as a people manager, preferred
- Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills, required
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics, required
- MBA, preferred
