Job Description

The IT Restaurant Specialist is responsible for providing technical support for new restaurant openings throughout the lifecycle of the opening process. This will include validating hardware and software systems to ensure smooth operations for new restaurant openings. This role involves troubleshooting issues, implementing solutions, and collaborating with various IT teams to ensure all issues are resolved.


The IT Restaurant Specialist will serve as a liaison between the new restaurant operations team and IT departments. This role will be on site at new restaurant openings to support operations from an IT perspective and provide hyper care during nights and weekends when not on site for a specific time period.

 

Job Duties:

  • Establishes restaurant IT services through execution of procurement, ordering, gathering components and parts; completing installation; development and performance of acceptance testing
  • Maintain rapport with internal and external customers and team members to coordinate schedules and execution of tasks to meet schedule
  • Supervise vendor service providers
  • Document service and installation actions through completion of form, report, log and/or record of action
  • Creates and disperses training documentation for NRO related changes
  • Transfers knowledge via various training methodologies to effectively communicate changes
  • Maintains safe and correct operations through maintenance of tools and proper use of safety equipment as required by OSHA standards
  • Maintains quality and consistency of work tasks through maintenance and update of installation standards
  • Collaborates with cross function IT teams operations requirements are met
  • Assemble and install restaurant systems as required
  • Develop system test protocols to determine implementation success
  • Refine New Restaurant Opening IT process and communication as business needs change


Job Skills and Qualifications:

  • Ability to travel 90% required
  • Ability to work nights and weekends
  • Ability to conduct common system troubleshooting
  • Communicate clearly with internal and external customers
  • Analyze information and prioritize work tasks for vendors
  • Ability to write status reports and communicate via e-mail clearly
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills required
  • Understanding of IT Operations, Application Support and Network Management
  • Restaurant experience preferred
  • Strong working knowledge of the Service Now platform preferred
