Job Description

The IT Manager will work on multiple projects simultaneously at a high level of efficiency and quality. The role requires the individual to possess subject matter expertise in both the business and related technologies. The Franchise IT Manager is responsible for the analysis, design and development of the necessary requirements to support system development and implementation efforts. The IT Manager manages and coordinates these activities from beginning to end through the use of agile best practices focused on strategic/analytical assessment, requirements gathering, iteration identification, and problem solving and project management.


Candidates must reside locally within the Tampa Bay area. You must be willing/able to support work efforts corresponding to the Pacific time zone, as many of our Franchise locations are located on the US West Coast.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES


*Directs/leads project update calls with end users at all levels (Franchisees, Vice President, Director, Managers, Individual Contributors)

*Create and maintain list of current IT requests and projects initiated by Franchise partners, including status and key dates and information

*Maintain transparent visibility of project status, issues, direction, decisions, etc., establishing themselves as a trusted advisor to Franchise partners

*Develops process flow charts as required to support use case/business requirements

*Partners with Franchise teams and their vendors to develop use case models, system objectives, interface requirements, integrity requirements, performance and operational requirements, and timelines for implementation

*Develops and maintains an intimate understanding of business operations

*Works collaboratively with IT and business to provide project estimates for cost-benefit analysis

*Helps coordinate the development of necessary project documentation and standards required for compliance and identified agile best practices

*Defines iterations/objectives and executes according to agile best practices and IT process standards

*Keeps project managers, team members and business stakeholders informed of critical issues, project status, changes, etc.

*Assists in the development of time & cost estimates, understanding and performing the responsibilities of a PM as required

*Understands how to use technology to competitive advantage and to solve business problems

*Able to pay attention to detail, but not get bogged down by it (and prevent others from doing the same) in order to maintain agility and rapidly move the agenda forward

*Ability to travel 30% of the time to support franchise operations


EXPERIENCE/SKILLS


*Three or more years of experience in developing requirements and performing system analysis, preferably in a franchise environment.

*Restaurant/Hospitality industry Experience is a requirement

*Three or more years' experience defining requirements and systems for restaurant applications.

*Project management experience leading technical projects or teams

*Ability to influence and direct both business and IT resources on the right direction and approach

*Ability to proactively work with the business to determine fulfillment options and ensure alignment, understanding and confidence

*Strong oral and written communication skills, and an ability to be a liaison between Franchise business partners and corporate stakeholders.

*Takes ownership of critical decisions, leading to resolution on behalf of the business and IT

*Challenges the business to ensure the team is working on the right things based on empirical information (ROI, LOE, etc.)

*Experience with various system development lifecycles such as waterfall, RUP, and Agile methods

*Project Management Certification and/or Six Sigma Black Belt Experience a plus

EDUCATION


*Bachelor's degree in CS, IS Systems or related technical field required. (4 additional years of comparable work experience beyond the required years of experience may be substituted)
