HR Compliance Specialist
The HR Compliance Specialist, reporting to the Director, HR Shared Services, is responsible for supporting our centralized HR Compliance processes to ensure Bloomin' Brands remains compliant for all Federal, State and Local laws. This role will collaborate with various internal departments and vendors to ensure processes and systems are implemented and executed successfully.
*Responsible for oversight of the I9 and E-Verify processes; monitoring compliance, providing updated metrics to HR Shared Services leadership, and collaborating with vendors and internal business partners on exceptions and critical issues
*Collaboration with Compliance/Legal teams on any agency related HR Audits
*Responsible for identifying and tracking trends and bringing to leaderships attention for appropriate action, such as training
*Responsible for follow up communication and actions to ensure compliance
*Manages Poster Compliance for all stores and Restaurant Support Center
*Responsible for ensuring any state required wage and hour forms are being distributed and acknowledged timely.
*Managing Social Security Number Corrections
*Assists with HR related governmental reporting and analysis
*Develops and maintains detailed documentation for compliance processes and escalation procedures
*Works closely with the HR Shared Services Project Lead, HR Technology, and Legal teams on new compliance initiatives and changes.
*Helps identify new or changing regulations in related to HR or Employment that may require implementation of a new process.
*Assist with creating SOPs, scripts, and escalation protocol for various compliance activities
3-5 years of experience working in Human Resource or Legal departments, required I-9 compliance experience
*Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
*Knowledge of federal, state and local regulations and compliance requirements
*Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret and communicate data
*Strong proficiency in Excel and other Microsoft Office Suite
*Solid interpersonal skills and the ability to interact well with internal business partners and external vendors
*Must maintain confidentiality and exercise good judgment
*Experience in working with HR systems
*Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
*Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
*HR certification desirable
