Financial Analyst

As a Financial Analyst for the Outback Steakhouse Finance team, this individual will conduct operational and financial analysis that supports the Outback Brand. Key responsibilities include executing operational reporting and working to automate and simplify processes. In addition, the role will gain exposure to planning & Forecasting for consolidated brand level financials, as well as a deep understanding of the Restaurant Industry.

*This is a hybrid role based in our Tampa Restaurant Support Center*

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

• Participate in development of Restaurant level operational reporting tools. Execute and distribute reporting on a weekly/monthly/quarterly basis with an eye towards areas of opportunity within the business
• Embrace reporting automation via dashboard design and/or existing reporting optimization. Partner with Centralized BI team to improve data models and ensure consistency of reporting.
• Partner with RSC and field leadership in the enhancement and development of tools with a focus on continuous improvement of financial acumen.
• Partner cross functionally to gather information, analyze data, and provide tools needed to facilitate informed financial decisions that assist the business in achieving financial targets
• Support the consolidated functional planning and forecasting process via data analysis to understand where trends and inform future direction. 
• Leverage cross functional partnerships with other Bloomin Brands Concepts to share best practices, automate reporting, and enhance the department’s ability to share insights with the business.
• Support test and learn measurement plans for sales driving initiatives in collaboration with Marketing Team to support brand sales goals. 
• Participate in meetings with cross-functional teams representing the voice of finance to ensure decisions and tactics consider risks and improve P&L performance. 
• Perform ad-hoc analysis and other job-related duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting, required.

 Experience/Skills:

• 1+ years of financial analysis, public accounting and/or financial reporting or corporate accounting experience with a general understanding of US GAAP
• Consolidated financial statement analysis supported by data fluency with and the ability to work with large data sets.
• Retail or Hospitality industry experience preferred with an emphasis on multi-unit, geographically dispersed businesses.
• Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to adapt to different audiences.
• Commitment to continuous process improvement with the ability to work independently at times while being flexible to changing business needs.
• Strong interpersonal skills, with ability to work and influence teams
• Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills, with demonstrated understanding of Power BI for dashboard development and reporting at scale.
