Job Description


As the Email Marketing Manager, you’ll be responsible for the development of strategies designed to lead, maintain, grow and optimize our email program.  This newly created role will play a key role in building a retention team at Bloomin’ Brands.  The Email Marketing Manager is responsible for developing and implementing short- and long-term email marketing strategies to grow the Email channel. This position is responsible for leveraging data, testing, industry trends, and creative ideas to optimize a user’s experience with the BBI portfolio of brands in email. Our ideal candidate is self-motivated, data driven, organized, and a creative problem solver. 


The Email Marketing Manager will work collaboratively with the BBI brand teams to coordinate all program activity and manage day to day interaction with outside vendors.   


  • Manages the development of campaign strategies and tactics to drive traffic and sales growth through Email, SMS, Text channels  
  • Maintain and grow overall email marketing strategy  
  • Create email lists and campaigns  
  • Improve approach to email marketing by using data, analytics, and research to evaluate current performance and identify areas for growth  
  • Build and use automation and optimization for trigger and targeted campaigns  
  • Identify marketing opportunity through customer segments   
  • Activate RFM segmentation and work with Analytics to drive growth via value tiers  
  • Provide leadership through KPI performance reporting across messaging channels 
  • Work closely with teams to create and implement strategies for list growth, health, and increased engagement 
  • Recommend and implement testing and conversion-driving strategies, with clear objectives and measures of success 
  • Lead in planning and maintaining email touchpoint and journey map 
  • Strategize with marketing team to optimize promotional calendar, set up campaigns, and collaborate on new initiatives 
  • Assist with developing marketing materials through creative design, idea generation, and project management 
  • Keep a pulse on industry trends 
  • Build out and manage email marketing team consisting of Automation Specialist, Content Specialist and Digital Product Managers.  
  • Collaborate with Analytics team CRM Analyst to build dashboards and provide performance visibility throughout organization  
  • Owns maintaining email reporting documents 
  • Liaison with brand marketing teams coordinating email communication calendar planning, creative development, deployment, and reporting on campaigns.  
  • Leads digital activity as it related to Email, SMS, Push Notifications and related website content on and brand websites. 
  • Manages the development of projects that may include working with external vendors 
  • Perform other related duties as the department scales 



  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications or related field, required 
  • Experience: 5-7 years in CRM/Email Marketing  
  • Multi platform experience  



  • Previous experience in marketing or other related fields
