Job Description

Bloomin' Brands is seeking a skilled Business Systems Analyst to join our Corporate Applications team. As a Business Systems Analyst, you will play a crucial role in analyzing and defining requirements for integration development and implementation efforts. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams, taking a lead role in all activities from beginning to end using agile best practices.

Your focus will be on analytical assessment, requirements gathering, iteration identification, problem-solving, and successful project delivery. Also, as part of your role you will ensure operational excellence by reviewing and facilitating production issue resolutions.



Requirements Gathering and Documentation:

  • Lead requirements gathering sessions with stakeholders at all levels, including Vice Presidents, Directors, Managers, and Individual Contributors.
  • Prepare accurate and detailed requirement specifications and mapping documents. Develop process flow charts as needed to support use case and business requirements understanding
  • Communicate effectively in writing or through meetings with the project team

Product Backlog Management:

  • Take ownership of the product backlog
  • Prioritize and groom project tasks to ensure efficient delivery.
  • Provide weekly updates to the Project Management Office (PMO) and actively participate in SCRUM meetings

Team Representation and Collaboration:

  • Represent the integrations team on multiple cross-functional projects, both internally and externally.
  • Collaborate closely with other teams and provide timely updates to stakeholders regarding critical issues, project status, and changes

Effective Communication:

  • Foster efficient communication with the Development and Quality Assurance (QA) teams
  • Ensure seamless collaboration in completing all development projects

Production Support and Process Flow:

  • Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve production support incidents and requests



  • Five or more years of experience in developing requirements and performing system analysis, including production support
  • Demonstrated knowledge and proficiency with integrations and ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) tools
  • Proficiency in relational databases and data warehouse and skilled in SQL Server queries
  • Ability to take ownership of critical decisions, leading to resolution on behalf of Business and IT
  • Experience with various system development lifecycles such as waterfall, RUP, and Agile methods
  • Restaurant/Hospitality industry experience is a plus

  • Bachelor’s degree in CS, IS Systems or related technical field required (5 additional years of comparable work experience beyond the required years of experience may be substituted)
