Job Description

The Brand Manager for Outback Steakhouse will be responsible for the development of strategies and tactics designed to drive system traffic, revenue, growth and brand engagement.

The Brand Manager will lead the planning and implementation of all marketing communications initiatives including Campaign Planning, Digital Media, Testing and Performance, In-Restaurant Marketing, and Public Relations.

This is a hybrid role requiring at minimum 3 days per week in our Tampa Restaurant Support Center.


* Manages the development of campaign strategies and tactics to drive traffic and sales growth. Includes briefing internal stakeholders and external agencies, traffic responsibilities, asset QA and reviewing performance and real time optimization as needed.

* Foster cross-functional relationships and manage promotion rollout across internal teams

* Acts as internal brand resource, maintaining brand equity and brand pillars

* Coordinate’s stakeholder communication to ensure timely rollout of campaigns, including field communication, calendar planning, campaign development, marketing promotions, deployment and reporting on campaigns.

* Leads digital activity as related to channel planning, communication hierarchy, and product alignment.

* Owns and leads Digital Pilots test-and-learn process for the brand in collaboration with Marketing Director.

* Leads marketing team in the development of strategic marketing plans. May include researching competitor marketing, reviewing and summarizing data on potential or existing customers.

* Manages the development of projects that may include working with external vendors and reviewing/editing contracts, agreements and scope of work documents.

* Manages brand-level marketing budget, including planning, estimate and invoice management and monthly reconciliation.

* Maintains relationships with third party delivery partners and provide recommendations on promotional strategy that drives traffic with attention to margin.



* Minimum of 3 - 4 years of brand strategy/marketing experience in a fast-paced consumer oriented marketing environment with demonstrated success of building strong brands.

* Proven ability to lead the development of consumer research and/or data analytics with a strong understanding of research methodology, recruitment, fielding and analysis.

* The ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines, and have a strong understanding of the P&L side of the business.

* A proven ability to transform current marketing trends and information into profitable strategies for the business.

* Proficiency in market analysis, competitive front, restaurant operations, opportunities and challenges are desired.

* Strong organizational and people skills, the ability to effectively create and deliver presentations, the ability to set appropriate priorities and use time effectively.

* Demonstrated analytical, creative, problem solving skills focused on driving for results. Must be able to effectively work in a team environment with a natural inclination toward motivating others.
