Accountant II - Income Tax

The Income Tax Accountant II performs timely completion of federal, state and local compliance for corporate income, franchise and partnership tax returns and project assistance. Recent college & university graduates are encouraged to apply!

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

* Responsible for the preparation of federal, state, local and partnership income tax returns and related work-papers

* Assist with the calculation of estimated and extension payments and preparation of related forms

* Ensure supporting work-papers are prepared in accordance with department processes

* Analyze and timely respond to various federal and state notices

* Prepare payment requests & follow-through to ensure timely remittance

* Work closely with various departments including IT, Accounts Payable, Accounting & Treasury

* Research tax matters as needed/requested

* Assist with other department projects as needed

Education:

* Bachelor’s degree in accounting preferred

* Prior professional work experience handling federal/state tax & accounting matters and/or experience with OneSource compliance software a plus

Experience/Skills:

* Accounting experience a plus

* Ability to multi-task & prioritize projects to ensure they are completed within assigned deadlines

* Display strong written & verbal communication skills

* Competent with Microsoft Office Suite; proficient in Excel
